Healthy Apple Crisps Snack
When you're busy working away in your home office it's all too easy to reach for a snack laden with saturated fat for a quick blast of energy - I mean, who's got time to stop and prepare something healthy?!
With our Apple Crisp recipe you can combine the two - a tasty snack that takes five minutes to prepare first thing, and can be baking in the oven whilst you start your home working day. When snack time rolls around, they're ready to be nibbled. They're really yummy, and the calorie count isn't horrific either!
Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 3 hours
2 Kanzi apples
1⁄2 tbsp icing sugar
Pre heat the oven to 120c
Wash your apples then very finely slice them horizontally into thin rounds, going straight through the core, and picking out any pips.
Place them on a non-stick baking tray and dust with icing sugar.
Place in the oven for 3 hours until completely dry. They will still be pliable until they cool.
After they have been in the oven use a pallet knife and allow them to cool on a wire rack where they will become crispy.
Store in an airtight container.
These are perfect to serve as a healthy alternative to sweets and crisps as drying them intensifies their natural flavour and sweetness.
