About My Business

Get Ahead VA Ltd delivers virtual assistance services for entrepreneurs and small businesses. Our business is innovative in the way we deliver our services and the type of flexible working we offer, which is the bedrock of our business. We have 29, freelance virtual assistants (VAs), 20 are mothers who all work remotely and we maximise the latest technologies wherever we can to ensure seamless communication. Cloud-based services, such as Dropbox and Skype help keep us all updated, and all our VAs use smartphones to respond to emails when on the move. In fact, we wouldn’t be quite as successful if it weren’t for remote working technology. We increased our client base by 42% in 2014 and we also went from 19 VAs to 29 to meet growing demand.


 
 

About Me

I created Get Ahead VA Ltd to offer value, yet high quality work for SMEs and start-ups. After a career break, I evaluated various business ideas and I felt a virtual assistance business offered the best solution. My career in buying for retail giants such as Superdrug and Sainsbury’s, gave me great contacts and experience that it seemed like a natural transition. People are my business and I always go the extra mile to help staff and customers. Some have won awards because of this. As a working mother, I created a business that offered the flexibility parents need for a work-life balance and we’re maximising the huge untapped talent pool of working mothers. Winning would give us a great excuse for a well-deserved night out!
